     Patience and approach to any Landscape is paramount for excellent photography!
This late Sunday afternoon we were very close to a shooting range. Bird's were scarce do to the gun shots roughly a quarter of a mile away. We also drove our vehicle to close to the pond. We scarred a few docks on the water edge.
     As we waited for the sun to set and reflect on the pond. Five PM arrived and the Shooting range closed.
We were amazed of the flocks of birds that flew over us to return to their habitat. Next time when we return.  I will use a Telephoto lens for the birds in flight.

I shot the Sunset with the Olympus OM-D M1 MARK II.  Lens  M. Zuiko Digital ED 7- 14mm Pro.

Lettuce, Spinach and Kale Seedlings in Rockwool Cubes.

Seedlings 01/10/13 8 PM planted.

All Rockwool was rinsed and soaked two times PH 5.5
Then rockwool was soaked in .9 11-11-40 Nutrient and Ph to 6.5
Nutrients will be changed in a few day's.
Seedlings of Bibb Lettuce, Paris Island Lettuce, Spinach, and Kale.
All seedlings were then sprayed with .9 Nutrient and the a Sure To Grow Mat wet H2O was added on top. All trays are covered with a clear dome and a heat blanket below on low settings.

Updates will follow as growth occurs.

Note:  Rockwool cubes are larger holes which was easier for placing seed from hand feeder.
I didn't cover holes only using the Sure To Grow mat. Microgreens aren't covered with media and they sprout.

 

Updates coming in days as the seedlings sprout.
 1/12/13 10 am One and Half Days to Sprout they popped this AM. I'm a Happy Camper.

Some new Seedlings

Soaking the 4" x4" Grodan blocks rinsed two times then soaked for  14 hours rhg. over night in EC 1.2 for Tomato plants.

1/15/13

Here is this mornings results from 1/9/13 seedling Lettuce Kale and Spinach maybe delayed or bad seed.

Rockwools were soaked in PPH 5.5 two times. Then I used 11-11-40 Mix .9 EC and PH Rgh. 6.5. I increased yesterday to 1.2 EC.
Feeding changed  to 1.2 EC Nutrients NPK now are 8-16-36

H2O PH 6.5 sprayed on top of plants EC in bottom of tray.

                                                 Seven Days lettuce and Kale growth.

 

 

Mixed growth. Started 1/12/13 1 PM Eastern Lemon Cucumbers, Cantaloupe, Leeks, Brussel Sprouts, Swiss Chard.

Tomatos picked prior to cold front coming in 50 degrees this morning. 1/18/13

Seedlings Rockwool and Sure To Grow Cubes.

 

These Seedlings were started Dec 26, 2012 Picture taken Jan 5, 2013

Jan 5, 2013 NPK was added 1.2 EC to each cube.

Cubes on right small tray are separated for 11-11-40 Peppers. Hydro Mix 1.2 EC.

Other's in tray are 4-18-38 Tomato Mix 1.2 EC

Small heater pad was used to keep the sedlings warm.

A dome was installed on top of tray.  Wet moist Sure to Grow pad was placed on top for three day's until seedling popped through.

 

These new seedlings are in Rockwool cubes and Sure To Grow cubes. Planted 01/6/13 Cucumbers,  Peppers, and Eggplant, Watermellon. They will be separated when they pop then PK will be added.
Wet moist Sure to Grow pad was installed on top of cubes then a Dome installed over cubes.  Heating pad is being used below tray on low temp to keep them warmer.

 1/10/13

1/10/13 update removed the Cucumber which went into the 4x4 inch Grodan blocks.

1/10/13 Cuccumbers and Squash placed into 4x4 inch Grodan blocks Plastic feed covers added to upper. Later they will go into the slabs. and feed tubes will go into the plastic covers.
I have reduced my cucumber production there is only so much I can use and give away.
Note  Cucumbers and squash get their first Nutrients 1.2 EC. This growth is less then 4 day's.
Soon I will tie these to go higher and clip growth leafs.
Then they will go into the slabs in Flower House.
They will all grow verticle.
